So lazy

I thought I'd get a post in for 2014..... Kind of last minute. 😊 Hayden quit karate so he could play soccer and take swim lessons instead. It's too hard having him take multiple classes. We put siding on our house this year and it looks great. I will try to blog a few things next year, I somehow skipped this whole year. Happy new year and I'll post resolutions tomorrow, probably.

I guess it's about time I blogged. Hayden has been doing really well with Karate. He complains about it sometimes, but really likes his sensei's and has fun at class. He even won 3rd place in sparring at the tournament this year. We went to Moab in April and it was really nice. We didn't do much hiking but it was good weather and nice to relax. Hayden really likes our friends Great Dane, Harley. School is almost out and Hayden is excited for summer. He already says school is boring. I enrolled him in soccer again so it will be a busy 4 weeks with soccer and karate 5 times a week! He enjoys it though and wants to get better at soccer. They play at recess every day. He is changing schools next year so he won't be going to the one behind our house. Where he goes to Daycare had the boundaries changed and it was either find a new Daycare of transfer schools and I let Hayden pick. His best friend, Rock, lives by his Daycare so he wanted to stay in the same school as him. He also loves Julie and has been going to her house since he was 3 months old. He has gotten a lot better at reading and is working on his handwriting. We don't have any big plans this summer just more camping. We are saving to go to Hawaii next year, I hope!

2012 Resolutions

Train for 1/2 marathon
DONE Read with Hayden every night
Almost every night! Finish 100 books in 2012 Your 2012 Reading Challenge Goal Congrats! You have completed your goal of reading 100 books for the 2012 Reading Challenge! 100 of 100 (100%) I had 99 books and remembered we read "The Night Before Christmas" so I barely made it. Be happy and healthy
I have kept eating better (with some cheating) and my weight has only fluctuated 5-10 lbs up and down. I feel like I have been "happier" this year, but have to choose to be happy every day. :) Here's to 2013! New Resolutions. Keep exercising every week. Don't eat out so often. Stick to a budget. Know that Happiness is a choice and keep choosing it. Happy New Year!

I am way behind on my blog.....

Hayden played soccer this summer and had a lot of fun. His team only "lost" one and "tied" one but "won" the rest. They don't keep score at this age but the parents all do.
Hayden also entered a photo in the reflections contest at school and won first place in his grade!
Hayden also got his Orange belt in karate but I didn't get a picture. I guess that about catches me up on 2012. SarahZina :)

7 years old!

Hayden is 7! He is growing up way too fast. I let him choose his party this year so we ended up at Boondocks with 12 kids. It was a lot of fun, but pretty stressful for the adults. It's hard to keep track of that many young ones. Maybe next year it will just be at the house again, or maybe somewhere a little more contained.

Baseball is over.

Spring baseball is over. Hayden really likes the trophy this time. He decided to try soccer this fall instead but is nervous because they keep score. I think he will do fine. Baseball is a little too slow paced for him and he just messes around and doesn't pay attention. I hope soccer will keep his attention better. I cant believe the year is almost halfway over already!

I did it!

I finished the half marathon! 13.1 miles! It was tough and I took longer than I thought I would, but I finished it. My GPS on my phone time was 2:35:17, the official times have not been posted yet. If they got any good shots I might buy one just to have it as a momento. Hayden wants my medal, but I told him I worked really hard for it and he will just have to run one someday. My brother, Luke, also ran and did it an hour faster than me...... also the winner of the full marathon, 26.2 miles, passed me on the last mile. :) I think this will be my first and last time running over 10k, but I am proud of myself for doing it.
